Our story is the story of a family that wanted to turned its artisan tradition into a real company.
Guidetti’s umbrella company was founded in 1945 by Carlo Guidetti.
Carlo is the youngest of 10 brothers. His father, Giuseppe was one of the latest street vendors of umbrellas in the High Vergante area (south west of Lake Maggiore).
At the age of 10 he left his family in order to become an apprentice and try his luck.
He landed in Novara, and after years of sacrifices, he managed to get back his freedom and started his own activity.
This was the beginning of his umbrella production in a cellar, with the help of just two workers.
